Austria After Dark

Home to ancient castles, some of history’s most influential musicians, and epic mountain scenery, Austria is a delight to visit. But one amazing aspect of its culture that often goes under the radar compared to Alpine views and delicious schnitzel is its incredible nightlife. More importantly, this isn’t just limited to the capital, Vienna; there are excellent clubs and bars spread throughout the country. If you’re heading to Austria and want to know where to head once all your sightseeing is done for the day, then read ahead for our guide to Austria after dark!

Much like it is in this article, Linz is sandwiched between Salzburg and Vienna, and the city offers an intriguing mix of culture, nature, and fun. After a day of checking out incredible architecture and fine art, you can let loose at one of its many great venues.

Remembar Bar

Located right in the heart of downtown Linz, Remember Bar is the perfect place to meet for a coffee during the day and after-dinner drinks in the evening, as well as offering the best late-night parties in the city. Under the sun the cafe is full of the locals catching up with old friends, but when it closes for a couple of hours in the early evening a complete transformation takes place. Stepping into the venue after dark is like entering another world, the once buzzing, cosy cafe morphed into a bar and nightclub that just being in makes you want to cut loose. With an eclectic mix of music, great DJs, and multiple lounges for our concierge service to book you a table in, there’s something here for everyone.

The Austrian capital is known for its stunning buildings and abundance of great art, delicious food, and intriguing history. From wandering its streets you’d think that the entire city is prim, proper, and refined, but once the sun goes down Vienna shows a different side. There are plenty of great clubs and bars to enjoy throughout the city – the only hard task is picking one!

Vie I Pee

With good vibes and great tunes, Vie I Pee is known as one of the hottest nightclubs in all of Vienna. Open five days a week, the club is blessed with a massive space, especially during summer when the huge outside area is opened up for revellers. Music varies but is usually a mix of funk and soul, meaning you can get down while screaming lyrics out too – perfect for when a few champagnes have lowered your inhibitions. With a smart casual dress code and a closing time of 6am, this is definitely a venue to cut loose in. If you’re looking for pure, unadulterated fun, then Vie I Pee should be on your list.

Babenberger Passage

A nightclub that oozes Vienna heritage, Babenberger Passage was once an underpass that allowed residents to access the city’s famous central ring. Now, though, it’s the most exclusive club in the city, with lines to get in regularly stretching out over an hour. Of course, with our concierge service you can be whisked in right away, where you’ll zoom past the futuristic decor straight to your VIP table, complete with bottle service and attentive hosts. The club itself has three main bars, serving everything from beer to classic cocktails. Music varies between funk, soul, house, and electronic, so there’s something for everyone and then some. And that’s before mentioning the special guests who often perform here when they swing through town. If you want to see the pinnacle of Vienna nightlife, then you need to get down to Babenberger Passage.
